"I have been creating art in all media since I was a young girl― a lot of years!
I attended the Tyler School of Fine Art in Philadelphia on a scholarship, majoring in both painting and sculpture. I also studied cartooning and book illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, as well as studying acting, stage design, and makeup at the Herbert Berghof Studios, also in Manhattan.
While living in New Jersey, I became active in Salute to Women in the Arts, Pastels Plus, and the Hackensack Art Club, where I was president. I have won numerous awards, and my art is in many private collections.
I have been teaching some form of art since the 1960s, both privately and in the public schools, as well as at the Art Center of Northern New Jersey. I thoroughly enjoy the creative process and hope to share my love of art here in Trumansburg."

Our Schedule & Fees
PRICE INCREASE: No one wants to hear that prices are going up, but those for lessons at TCFA will be, effective January 1, 2012. While we are sympathetic to the stresses of our times and to the demands on all our families, TCFA is not exempt from such stresses and demands. The truth is we have no choice at this juncture of the conservatory’s financial health but to bring our instructional fees into line with those of similar area organizations. Our prices have not been raised in some time, and the good news is that this will go some distance toward keeping TCFA an active and viable organization in the future.
Current fees for private instruction:
- $20 - half hour
- $25 - 45 minutes
- $30 - hour
New fees for private instruction, effective January 1, 2012:
- $23 - half hour
- $32 - 45 minutes
- $40 - hour
Prerequisite for enrollment in any class or lesson is TCFA membership. Annual membership fees are $25 (individual) or $35 (family). Discounts given for lessons and classes for multiple enrollment in an immediate family.
TCFA Private Lesson Policies
The Trumansburg Conservatory of Fine Arts (TCFA) appreciates your observance of its class payment and cancellation policies.
- TCFA requires payment by check at the time of each scheduled private lesson. Please make your check payable to TCFA.
- If a lesson must be rescheduled, we require 24 hours advance notice. Please contact your teacher directly with any change to your lesson schedule.
- Every attempt will be made to reschedule all lessons canceled with 24 hours advance notice. If a lesson is missed and the teacher is not given 24 hours advance notice, the student will be automatically charged for the lesson.
- In cases of emergency or when 24 hours advance notice is not possible, TCFA requires that the teacher be given an explanation of the extenuating circumstances before the next lesson in order to make an exception to the policy.
Weather-Related Closing
TCFA follows the Trumansburg Central School District decisions on all matters pertaining to inclement weather. If school is closed due to inclement weather, the TCFA will be closed. If you are in doubt about the status of TCFA, please contact your teacher directly.
Discounts & Scholarships
Scholarship assistance and family discounts are subject to availability.
- Family discounts on group lessons are offered to families with more than one student enrolled at TCFA. A discount of 5% will be applied to each lesser activity beyond the first. Discounts do not apply to memberships, material fees, or costumes.
- Financial aid in the form of scholarship assistance may be available to students with demonstrated financial need. Please speak with your teacher to inquire about this support.
